Disney Dining: Katsura Grill {World Showcase Japan Pavilion}

I recently had the opportunity to dine at the quick service restaurant Katsura Grill at Epcot’s Japan Pavilion in World Showcase. I’ll be honest, this was not one of the best Disney meals I’ve ever had. On a scale of 1-10 I would rate it a 5. Here’s the review:

The menu at Katsura is nothing too special. The options are traditional beef and chicken combos along with sushi and udon options, as you would see in most Japanese eateries. While dining here we tried the Shogun Combo, Teriyaki Chicken, and Kids Meal.

The Shogun Combo {pictured above} and Teriyaki Chicken were both just okay. They meats were tender and loaded with sauce, but the sauce lacked something in its flavor. The veggies were good and soy sauce made the rice tasty. My kids enjoyed their meal: Teriyaki Chicken, veggies, rice, drink, and dessert. Since the sauce didn’t have a strong flavor they really enjoyed the chicken.

For dessert I chose the Green Tea Cheesecake. Again, it was just okay. Nothing to rave about. It did have a unique flavor, but it is not something I would order again.

The seating inside Katsura was tight. I dined around 11ish for lunch and by the time our group was wrapping up chairs were almost touching. There is plenty of outdoor seating, so if it’s a nice day take advantage!

With all the other options for dining in World Showcase, I wouldn’t put Katsura at the top of your list. However, if you like Japanese cuisine you might want to give it a try for yourself. I didn’t try the rolls but they looked super yummy!
