Short-Cut Chicken Parmesan

Want to wow some dinner guests? Or maybe you’re just looking for something yummy to cook your family for dinner? Either way this very easy chicken parm recipe is full of flavor and you won’t break a sweat preparing it–no coating and breading!

What You Need

3-4 boneless chicken breasts

1/2 cup shredded mozzerella

1/2 cup shredded paremsan {we used good ‘ol Kraft and used generously :) }

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup red spaghetti sauce

1 teaspoon basil

croutons {we used Texas Toast brand}

red pepper flakes

olive oil

salt and pepper

Fix it Fast

1. Cover chicken breasts in salt and pepper.

2. OPTIONAL: In a large frying pan, cook each breast 2-3 minutes on each side {this really adds to flavor}.

3. In small sauce pan, brown garlic in olive oil. Add sauce and basil. Bring to simmer.

4. Coat 9×9 or 8×8 baking dish with olive oil and red pepper flakes. Arrange breasts in dish. {If doubling use 9×13 dish}

5. Using a spoon, coat each breast with sauce.

6. Sprinkle chicken with half of your mozzarella and parmesan cheese.

7. Crush a handful of croutons and sprinkle crumbs on top of chicken. {If making double batch use entire box of croutons, crushed or leave whole}

8. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.

9. Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes.

This recipe goes great with bread, salad, steamed veggies or mashed potatoes!
